HELP A FARMER

3 Dec 2019 by Craig Thomas

Hi All,

Help needed!!

As you are all aware, our farmers are really doing it tough as the drought in our rural area’s continues to get worse. Christmas is looking bleak for many, but we as a community can rally together and help.

Surf Life Saving NSW has been challenged by Emergency Services Minister David Elliott and NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller through the ‘Stuff Your Chopper’ drive to get on board and donate food to help farmers doing it tough this Christmas. The challenge has gone out to all Emergency services, with collection being co-ordinated and distributed by foodbank – https://www.surflifesaving.com.au/events/stuff-your-surf-boat

So, the challenge has been set and at Collaroy we love a challenge – This Sunday, 8th Dec, a Collaroy Surf Boat will be at the Northern end of the Club (0730-1230hrs) and we would love to see it filled with non-perishable food items. Items to help with Xmas Dinner and beyond, anything that’s packaged, in a tin or that will last. Pull some items out of the kitchen cupboard or do a little shop.

Spread the word, let the community know and let’s fill this boat.
